Story

A few weeks ago when I went to Oregon, I took a Book of Mormon with me just in case I had the opportunity to give it out. No opportunity ever arose. I only spoke with people I knew who were already members. So when packing for D.C. I decided against bringing an extra BOM. I told myself I most likely wouldn't be speaking with anyone I didn't know, and it would just take up extra space in my already full carry-ons. BUT then on my flight from Denver to D.C. the cute lady next to me asks me about the magazine I was reading...The Ensign. She said she really felt touched by one of the pictures. We talked a bit and she told me she is baptist. Then later she told me that I was the first Mormon she had ever met. Why did I turn down the prompting to bring a BOM to give away??? Bad Choice. But what an amazing experience it was.

Remember how the concept of the internet just blows my mind??????

a new discovery

Hear now. I am by no means a movie person.

HOWEVER

a 'friend' of mine introduced me to the coolest thing:

a silent movie.

it's like being back in the 20's. the best part is that during the entire movie a cute old man plays the organ to the movie. he's amazing at it. i highly recommend going to see a movie.

Happy pi day

I know there's some nerdiness in me when this pops up on the google home page and I look at it and think, "not only do I know what it all means, but I also can prove that it is all true."

Sunday, March 7, 2010

Well all.

To be completely honest, this week has not been the best. Allow me to explain:

My crazy hard midterms did not go well.

I spent hours trying to get muss tickets. It was a joke. Part of it was my fault because I typed in Lindsay's wrong email address. I'm still crossing my fingers that it will work out.

I forgot to give the printed document to JYS before leaving work Wednesday.

I stressed all week about finding a date for the Jazz game. Then 5 hours before the game, I was found guilty of doing one of my biggest pet peeves: changing plans at the last minute. I changed Emily's plans because she was planning on coming with me, and I changed a boy's plans - if he had any plans for last night.

........can we please take a small detour so that I can express how much I absolutely hate asking boys on dates. I don't feel comfortable doing it. I feel like anyone I ask will get the wrong idea. And I'm especially opposed to girl's choice institute date nights. Thankyou........

I forgot to call Danielle (ON) about working this week.

I left the Jazz tickets at my house so we had to drive back home after dinner and get them.

And I forgot something else, but now i've forgotten what I forgot.

I think I've gained 5 pounds from eating crap at one in the morning.

I lost my list of things to do.

All in all, the week could have been worse. It wasn't that bad.

Some good things that happened (to be optimistic):

I saved myself from getting a parking ticket because I ran when I saw the guy giving me one.

I got to catch up with the best {boy} friend. And he said kind things that made me happy.

I found out Ali's moving to Chicago -- we all know what that means -- I'm going on a trip to Chicago!

My presentation went well.

And since I lost my list of things I need to get done by Thursday, I'll make another one. And post it on the internet. So it can't be lost.
  • Thank you to Kim
  • Call Danielle (ON)
  • Foundations homework
  • Math in Medicine homework
  • Figure out interview time
  • Birthday card for Liz
  • Clean room
  • Brainiac Basket items
  • Dessert/hero/chairgals/thank yous for Beta on Thurs.
  • Letter to Chasey
  • Shoes from payless?
I feel like I'm forgetting things. Oh well. This will have to do for now.

blog vs. sleep

usually i'd choose to blog

but today i'll choose to sleep.

man how i wish i had more time this week.

ok maybe i'll blog a bit.

Story #1So my big dilemma of the week: The lambda delta sigma date night this semester is to the Jazz game. I'm especially against these girl's choice date nights. Anyways, there are only a few things that could really get me there - one being the Jazz game. So I bought tickets. But now I don't want to take anyone. Well there is one I want to take but I want him to ask me out instead of me asking him out.  The end.

Story #2
This is Kim. I freakin love her. I had such a blast with her in Oregon. Hiking. Coast. Hippies. Rugby. Eating. Roomates. Church. Modesty. Talking. Cafe Yumm. Laughing Planet. BJ's pazookies. Homeboy. Double-stuffed kimwich. Tessa. Choco milk.
I loved every minute in Oregon. But it definitely made me realize all the things I take for granted here in Utah.

Story #3
Sad story. My bowling class is over. Which means it's the middle of the semester. Which means I am going crazy with midterms this week.

Story #4
No more stoies.
I really do need to choose sleep over blogging now.

Goodnight.
